1967-68

Academic year starting in September 1967 After over 10 years of trying, Campus Radio finally started to make progress in the winter of 1968. Cal Poly filed an application for a Construction Permit to build an FM radio station on 91.3 Mhz in the winter of 1968. Over-the-air testing began on July 29, 1968. At the time, Campus Radio was still operating under the terms of its Construction Permit. The FCC would officially assign the KCPR call letters and grant Program Test Authority during the 1968-69 academic year.
