Picnic at Cuesta Park in San Luis Obispo The Fun 91 Reunion picnic started at noon. Mark helped get the fire going, and by about 2:00 the coals were ready for cooking.
Officially, it's called Cuesta Canyon Regional Park, on Loomis St., in an unincorporated area of SLO County. Although the Google Maps satellite view still shows a softball diamond, the dirt infield has been removed, and the picnic area has changed. (The kids still play ball--and they call it sloshball. Sloshball is variation of kickball, played while holding a beer or some other delicious golden beverage.)
Including the current year KCPR exec staff, about 60-75 people attend the picnic. Chuck made the arrangements for the park, and he an Paula bought and hauled in food. The tri-tip was very popular--it went fast, and there were no leftovers. Ed's son and son's girlfriend manned the Santa Maria style bbq.
