Audio from other years and in other categories is on the [Audio] page. * [Christmas Sign-off 1971 by Woody Goulart|Upload:LenFilomeo/XMAS_Sign-Off_1971_Woody_Goulart.mp3] * [Jingles: Some cute homegrown Top40 jingles/ some instrumental, some narrated by Craig Hines, and some by Woody Goulart. Quality varies by the minute.|Upload:harold/jingles_1971.mp3] * [Zuppo Nunzio Quintet|Upload:WoodyGoulart/zupponunzio.mp3]: The notorious Zuppo Nunzio Quintet--an undocumented alien boy band--was heard on KCPR in the early 1970s rendering an exclusive cover version of the celebrated love song "Till There Was You" from <i>The Music Man</i>. This cutting-edge performance, which includes a top-of-the-hour KCPR ID, was decades ahead of <i>American Idol</i> in the showcasing of dreadfully tone deaf "singers" in the service of pathos.//Notes by [WoodyGoulart]. * [F. Fester Fletcher and the News on KCPR Newsservice|Upload:WoodyGoulart/newstakeone.mp3]: The hirsute social commentator known as F. Fester Fletcher was a parody of the reknowned KSLY newscaster Fred Peterson. This satire was written and performed by the very talented Frank Calabrese, who created this, and other, unforgettable characters that were heard on KCPR. [Fester's Last Stand|Upload:WoodyGoulart/festerslaststand.mp3] was written and produced for broadcast on KCPR by Calabrese went he left San Luis Obispo to serve in the United States Navy.//Notes by [WoodyGoulart]. * [Auditorial|Upload:WoodyGoulart/editorial.mp3][Rebuttal|Upload:WoodyGoulart/rebuttal.mp3]: KCPR could not editorialize, so instead, mock editorials known as "auditorials" were written and produced by Woody Goulart, who voiced the introduction and closing tag. The auditorials were delivered passionately by the upstanding and authoritative KCPR vice-president and general, John Jay ~MacHeinz, who was portrayed by Craig Hines. The rebuttal was voiced by an uncredited KCPR staff member who was handed a script to read without preparation.//Notes by [WoodyGoulart]. !!To add a sound file * click the "Browse" button below, then find the file on your computer * click the "Upload" button and wait for the file to upload.
